Grapillon d’Or is a small, history-steeped domaine dating back to 1806 and has been owned and operated by successive generations of the Chauvet Family. This is a sensational blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah from 40-year-old vines in Gigondas, harvested by hand and matured in foudres for 14 months. It is rich and full-bodied, but remarkably smooth and silky, offering up wonderfully intense notes of blackberry, black cherry, wild herbs and liquorice. This is the perfect wine to serve alongside roasted meats, particularly lamb.
