Based in the heart of Gevrey-Chambertin, Joseph Roty is a family-owned Domaine producing a wide range of wines, from entry-level Bourgogne to highly sought-after Grand Crus. Joseph sadly passed away in 2008 and the estate is now overseen by his son Pierre-Jean. This village-level 1996 Gevrey-Chambertin comes from Champs Chenys, a lieu-dit where the vines are over 60 years old. Widely regarded as an excellent vintage, 1996 red Burgundies are drinking very well now.
