Based in Gevrey-Chambertin, Denis Mortet is a family-owned estate run by Laurence Mortet and her two children, Clémence and Arnaud. The Domaine was originally founded in 1956 by Charles Mortet with just a single hectare of vines to his name. This particular cuvée comes from a lieu-dit in Gevrey-Chambertin and it is made from old vines. In Burgundy, the 2000 vintage was quite favourable, and the best wines from that year are still drinking well now.
