Owned by the Manetti family since 1968, Fontodi is located in the heart of the Chianti Classico region, just south of Panzano. ‘Flaccianello’, made with the estate’s best Sangiovese, is fast becoming one of Italy’s most sought-after wines. It is powerful, fleshy and ages beautifully. The 2006 vintage in Tuscany was notably exceptional, yielding wines that were characterized by their full-bodied nature, slightly higher alcohol content, opulent fruit profile, and well-balanced acidity.
