This is the flagship wine of Finca Villacreces produced from old, low-yielding estate vines in the “golden mile” of the Ribera del Duero D.O. Composed of 88% Tempranillo, 9% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Merlot, it is aged in new French oak barrels for 14 months. Inky purple in colour, it is deep and broody on the nose with scents of blackcurrant, bramble, violets, cigar box and earth. On the palate it is rich and ripe, with fine-grained tannins and a long, savoury finish.
