El Jogorio is an initiative from the Cortés family who in 2010 began building a collective of top mezcal distillers from around Oaxaca. This release is made from 100% wild-harvested Agave Mexicano [Agave rhodacantha] harvested at 10 years of age and bottled at 47% ABV. While the spirit certainly has some bite, it is fairly approachable, showing notes of citrus, slate, hints of tropical fruit with just a touch of chili heat.
