Eagle Rare

Eagle Rare

Distilled since 1975 in Frankfort, Kentucky, Eagle Rare is one of the leading Bourbon brands in the portfolio of Buffalo Trace Distillery. Eagle Rare was originally a 50.5% 10-year-old (non-single-barrel) Kentucky straight Bourbon whiskey created by master distiller Charles L Beam. This original bottling was discontinued in 2005.

The Eagle Rare brand is now represented by the multi-award-winning 10-year-old bottled at 45% and a 17-year-old which has been released once a year since 2000 as part of an Buffalo Trace’s Antique Collection. Renowned for its great value, Eagle Rare offers a rich, bold style of Kentucky straight Bourbon with complex notes of cinder toffee, orange peel, almonds and herbs.

In 2021, a very limited-edition 20-year-old expression – the Double Eagle Very Rare Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, featuring two crystal glass eagles on a specially designed crystal decanter, was released at $2,000 a bottle.
