Doppelgänger is an Italian style aperitivo, albeit made by the Doghouse Distillery in Battersea, and is England’s answer to Aperol! Made with a flash of artistry and the amalgamation of 19 hand-selected botanicals on a base English wheat spirit. Inviting citrus and hints of aromatic roots on the nose, its bitter-sweet palate is citrus and rosella (hibiscus) led, and underlaid by earthy and herbaceous flavours. The finish is wonderfully moreish, making it the perfect English summer afternoon quaffer. Perfect as a spritz with lots of ice, soda and a slice of orange, or take it up a level with a splash or two of prosecco!
