Danbury Ridge Chardonnay 2022
This Chardonnay is crafted from grapes sourced in a renowned viticultural area, emphasising the importance of terroir in its expression. The winemaking process typically involves fermentation in stainless steel and a portion aged in oak barrels, which contributes to its structure while preserving the varietal characteristics. As a versatile white wine, it pairs well with seafood and poultry dishes, making it a suitable choice for a variety of meals.

Danbury Ridge
Located between Blackwater estuary and the river Crouch in Essex, Danbury Ridge is a leading producer of English wines, producing premium still wines from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The estate was founded by Michael and Heather Bunker, and is managed by their daughters, Janine and Sophie.
The first vines were planted at Danbury in 2014, with the area’s unique mesoclimate (this part of Essex is one of the warmest and driest in British Isles) being deemed especially suitable to ripening Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes. Now equipped with a state-of-the-art cellar managed by winemaker Liam Idzikowski, Danbury Ridge looks set to become one of the driving forces of the English wine revolution for years to come.
