The 2020 vintage in Bordeaux was marked by a warm, dry summer, leading to an early harvest. In Sauternes and Barsac, the conditions were generally favourable for the development of noble rot, which is essential for the production of high-quality sweet wines. Some producers reported that the noble rot developed quite rapidly, leading to concentrated and opulent wines.
