Jaboulet Côte-Rôtie Les Jumelles 1985 is a mature-vintage Syrah red wine from the Côte-Rôtie appellation of the northern Rhône Valley. Les Jumelles translates as `the twins` and refers to vineyards on the Côte Brune and Côte Blonde which make up this blend. While not as commonly seen or referenced as Jaboulet wines such as the iconic Hermitage La Chapelle, Les Jumelles is invariably a superb expression of Côte-Rôtie`s prime Syrah terroir. "Full throttle Côte-Rôtie with gorgeous fruit, plums, cherries and berries, soft and silky on the palate but with a firm tannic backbone that bodes will for the future.
