Domaine Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Corton-Charlemagne 2012 is a Burgundy white wine from the Grand Cru of Corton-Charlemagne on the hill of Corton in the Côte de Beaune. PYCM is the eldest son of St-Aubin winemaker Marc Colin. Since leaving his family domaine in 2005 to launch his own winery in Chassagne-Montrachet, Pierre-Yves has become one of the most-lauded winemakers on the Côte d`Or. His approach is very much minimal-interventionist. no battonage for whites; minimal racking and extended élévage across the board. "Ineffable perfume to the aromas of lemon, lime, lavender and crushed stone. Juicy, tangy and youthfully tight, with a distinctly dusty, extract-rich texture to the flavours of citrus peel, flowers, fleur de sel and minerals. A classic Corton-Charlemagne from vines harvested late (Colin has two sources, one in Aloxe and the other in Pernand; the two vignerons harvested on the same day and Colin carried out a single vinification). The crop level was normal as there was no hail here. " International Wine Cellar, 2014
