Louis Jadot is one of the most consistent growers and négociants in Burgundy, offering a vast portfolio of wines – from easy-drinking, accessible Bourgogne to complex, age-worthy Grand Cru expressions. Based in Beaune, the Maison is today run by Pierre-Henri Gagey, assisted by head winemaker Frédéric Barnier. This is their Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru, which comes from one of the oldest vineyards owned by Jadot. The Chardonnay grapes are picked by hand, gently pressed and then fermented in oak barrels, one third of which are new. Aging lasts about 15 months on fine lees before bottling.
