La Zapatera from Convento de San Francisco is a single-vineyard wine made from Tempranillo grapes grown in the village of Fuentenebro in Ribera del Duero. The wine is aged for 22 months in French oak barrels. La Zapatera is a full-bodied, powerful wine with aromas of black fruit, spice, and cedar. It has a smooth, velvety palate with flavours of black cherry, plum, and chocolate. The tannins are well-integrated, and the acidity is refreshingly balanced.
