Situated in Priorat, Clos Mogador is a family-owned winery, widely recognized for producing exceptional red wines. It was established by René Barbier and his wife, Isabelle Meyer, in the late 1970s. René Barbier is a renowned winemaker and one of the pioneers of the Priorat region`s modern winemaking movement. The 2004 vintage is considered a standout year in Priorat, resulting in wines with excellent ripeness, concentration, and structure. Expect notes of blackberries and black cherries, along with liquorice, dried herbs, and spices. There are also mineral undertones reflecting the slate soils of the region.
