Situated in Gevrey-Chambertin, Domaine Henri Rebourseau produces wines from some of the oldest plots in the Côte de Nuits, including five grand crus. This release is the domaine’s 2005 Clos de Vougeot, one of the icons of Burgundy`s vineyards. Established between the 11th and 12th centuries at the behest of the monks of Citeaux Abbey, this walled vineyard is today divided into more than 80 separate parcels. The wine is marked by ripe fruit and a line of minerality, complemented by notes of undergrowth, wet stones and truffles.
