Château Climens 1964 is a fully mature sweet wine from Sauternes. Château Climens is a Premier Cru Classé Sauternes producer and one of the leading producers of sweet wine in Bordeaux. Produced from 100% Semillon from vineyards in the Barsac appellation, Climens Sauternes is fermented in barrel and aged in barriques (30% new) for 22 months. Renowned for its elegance, finesse and profound longevity (good vintages can age well for comfortably more than 50 years), Château Climens pairs spectacularly well with Roquefort-type cheeses and foie gras. Maturer vintages complement rich but more savoury foods, including spicy Asian dishes.
