Gilles Berlioz Chignin Bergeron Les Filles 2022 is a medium-bodied white wine produced from Roussanne grapes in the Savoie region of France. Known for its humorous, yearly-changing label, this cult white wine is produced by Gilles Berlioz, a former builder who switched careers and became a vigneron after losing two fingers in a work accident. Berlioz farms about five hectares of vines (now with Demeter biodynamic certification) around the town of Chignin. Bergeron is the local Savoie name for the Roussanne grape variety, and this is a wonderfully rich, concentrated and slightly oily wine produced from exceptionally ripe bunches harvested in several passages of the vineyard.
