Bouchard Père et Fils produces two distinct expressions of Chevalier-Montrachet, and La Cabotte, a 0.2ha lieu-dit, has been bottled separately since the 1997 vintage. The 2008 vintage, while from a less celebrated year, offers a compelling expression of this Grand Cru. The wine is more tightly wound compared to other vintages but showcases impressive intensity of fruit, with layers of citrus, white flowers, and a mineral backbone. The finish is long and precise, highlighting the terroir’s complexity and ageing potential.
