Domaine Henri Bonneau is one of the iconic producers of Châteauneuf-du-Pape with just 6 hectares of vineyards split between the legendary La Crau and Couthézon sub-zones. Cuvée Marie Beurrier made its debut in 1988 and is made from a blend of 90% Grenache with 10% Mourvedre. From the cooler 2013 vintage this is elegant and refined, with silken texture and cool waves of spice-tinged red fruits and wild Mediterranean herbs.
- Brilliant ruby-red. High-pitched red berry and floral scents show very good clarity and hints of garrigue and white pepper. Silky and sweet on the palate, offering fresh raspberry and cherry flavors that open up nicely on the back half. Closes sappy and very long, with resonating spiciness and smooth tannins.
