Rotem & Mounir Saouma Magis Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc 2020 is a full-bodied Southern Rhône white blend made from Grenache Blanc, Roussanne, Clairette and Bourboulenc. Having founded their now-revered Lucien Le Moine boutique micro-negociant label in 1999, Rotem and Mounir Saouma next set their sights on crafting show-stopping wines in the Southern Rhône, acquiring several vineyards in Châteauneuf-du-Pape in 2009. Their Magis white blend is noted for its stunning complexity and, for the southern Rhône, rare mineral drive. "A stunner, with a seductive mouthfeel as both creamed and dried yellow apple, yellow plum and white peach flavours hold centre stage, backed by a range of shortbread, macadamia nut and verbena notes. Showy but with razor-sharp focus on the finish, as a last echo of hazelnut husk lingers." Wine Spectator, 2021
