Beaucastel’s red Châteauneuf-du-Pape comes from a 70-hectare vineyard, where all 13 authorised varieties are planted. The Château’s blend has typically a higher proportion of Mourvèdre than other cuvées. A mature find from the 1985 vintage, expect a sweet nose with black truffle and lingering earthy notes accompanied by a wonderfully rounded palate with soft tannins.
