Chateau Musar is one of the most iconic wineries in Lebanon, founded in 1930 by Gaston Hochar. The winery is located in the Bekaa Valley, which is known for its favourable climate and rich, alluvial soils. The 2007 Chateau Musar red wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cinsault, and Carignan. On the nose, the wine offers a fruity bouquet of cherries, plums, and blackberries, along with notes of leather, tobacco and a hint of Mediterranean spices. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, with a rich fruit character, smooth tannins, and well-integrated acidity. Available here in half-bottles.
