Chateau Musar White 2018 is a full-bodied white wine from the Bekaa Valley of Lebanon. Established by Gaston Hochar in 1930. Chateau Musar is without a doubt Lebanon’s top wine estate. Seven years in the making, Chateau Musar White is a blend of ancient grape varieties Obaideh 60% and Merwah 40%. These grape varieties are indigenous to the mountains of Lebanon and are said to be related to Chasselas, Chardonnay and Semillon. The grapes are co-fermented in barrel and matured in French oak barriques for 9 months. It was blended in spring 2019, and bottled during the summer. The style is often described as resembling a “dry sauternes” or mature white Graves.
