Domaine Thibault Liger-Belair was established to unlock the potential of the family’s historic and renowned vineyards. The estate currently manages 9 hectares of its own vineyards and sources nearly as much from purchased grapes. This release is their Premier Cru Les Gruenchers’ from 2009, ageing in French oak barrels contributes to its structure, while further refining the flavour profile, making it a study in elegance and restraint.
- The 2009 Chambolle-Musigny Les Gruenchers is gorgeous. Refined, finessed tannins provide the backdrop for expressive raspberries, crushed rose petals and spices. Chalky notes support a finish that is all silky. This is a great showing from Thibault Liger-Belair.
