Domaine Odoul Coquard Chambolle-Musigny Les Fuées 2022 is a full-bodied Burgundy red wine from the Premier Cru climat of Les Fuées in the commune of Chambolle-Musigny in the Côte de Nuits. Domaine Odoul-Coquard was founded in the early 20th century and remains family owned and operated, managing 9 hectares of vineyards in 21 different appellations throughout the Côte de Nuits. Les Fuées is located next to Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru where Odoul Coquard owns a small parcel of Pinot Noir vines aged 70+. This 2022 expression was produced with 50% new oak.
The 2022 Chambolle-Musigny Les Fuées 1er Cru has a pretty nose with crushed strawberry and raspberry fruit, and a patina of tertiary elements develops with time in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with a marmalade-tinged entry. There’s fine weight, quite Morey-like in style, thanks to the structure on the finish.
