Maison Eduoard Delaunay is a Burgundy négociant house originally established in 1893. In 2017, Laurent Delaunay, the great-grandson of the founder, acquired the business back with the intention of reestablishing its historical prominence from the majority of the 20th century. The grapes for this specific cuvée hail from four distinct plots – Les Chardannes, Les Herbues, Les Gamaires, and Aux Echanges – all situated in the northeastern sector of the appellation. These plots are positioned at altitudes ranging between 250 and 300 meters, boasting calcareous clay soil that reaches a considerable depth. These parcels sit on the outskirts of the Morey-Saint-Denis appellation. This close proximity is evident in the wine itself, which showcases a heightened structure compared to many Chambolles.
