Garnier Chablis 2022 is a medium-bodied Chardonnay white wine from the Chablis appellation of Burgundy. Based in the village of Ligny-le-Ch?âtel, organic-focused Domaine Garnier et Fils is run by brothers Xavier and Jerôme on the slopes of the Serein Valley in Chablis. This village-level wine is made from a blend of grapes grown on the soils of Maligny, Ligny et Villy. Vinified in steel tanks, it is a Chardonnay characterised by its precision and vibrant minerality. Expect floral and cut grass aromas with chalky complexity.
The 2022 Chablis Les Clos Grand Cru has a stronger marine influence on the nose compared to its peers. It is well-defined, with just a touch of lanolin emerging with time. The palate is well-balanced, with blackcurrant and orange pith on the entry. It's not terribly complex, but it does have charm, and it will drink earlier than its peers. Fine.
