Domaine François Raveneau is one of Chablis`s finest producers, with a cult following all over the world. The estate has currently eight hectares of land spread across three grand cru and six premier cru sites. All the grapes are harvested manually, one of the very few remaining producers in Chablis to do so. Butteaux is one of the Premier Cru vineyards in Chablis, known for producing wines with depth, complexity, and a distinctive minerality. The 2008 vintage in Chablis is considered excellent, characterized by balanced acidity and pure fruit expression.
- Bright greenish-yellow. Laid-back but pure aromas of lemon, ginger and wild herbs. Pure, fine-grained and elegant, with reticent, youthfully taut flavors of lemon and stone. Showed more texture with a bit of aeration and finishes very long and suave.
