Ceritas Peter Man Ray Chardonnay 2020 is a single-vineyard Chardonnay from the Santa Cruz Mountains of California. Ceritas was founded by John Raytek in 2005. While not owning any vineyards themselves, Ceritas works closely with selected growers across northern California to produce terroir-led wines from classic California grape varieties. Set in the hills at 500m elevation above the town of Saratoga, the Peter Martin Ray vineyard is Ceritas`s highest-altitude site, and is characterised by poor shale soils which produce small-berried Chardonnay grapes and, in turn, salty, mineral wines with a lingering finish.
