Cedric Bouchard Les Ursules Roses de Jeanne 2019 is a meticulous blanc de noirs expression from one of Champagne’s more artisanal producers. Sourced entirely from a single vineyard in the Côte des Bar, this cuvée is crafted from Pinot Noir planted in Kimmeridgian limestone, which imparts a distinctive minerality. The 2019 vintage displays a blend reflecting the site`s terroir and the vintage`s character, showcasing a balance of fruit intensity and acidity without dosage. Cedric Bouchard upholds traditional methods, having focused on small-scale production since taking over from his father in 2000.
The 2019 Blanc de Noirs Les Ursules is deep, layered and super-expressive from start to finish. Pear, marzipan, dried flowers, plum and spice are beautifully laced together in this resonant, creamy Blanc de Noirs. All the elements are so well balanced. What a wine! Impeccable. Bottled with no dosage. Disgorged: 2023.
