The D’Issan Magnum 1996 is a Bordeaux red wine from the Margaux appellation, crafted from 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Merlot. This vintage reflects the favourable conditions of 1996. Château d`Issan, classified as a Third Growth (Troisième Cru Classé) in the 1855 Bordeaux classification, has a rich history dating back to the 12th century. The 1996 release showcases a classic Left Bank profile, noted for its structure and capacity for ageing. Suitable for cellaring or immediate enjoyment.

Rich and layered, with lovely up-front appeal, the 2022 edition is a fine choice for drinking now and over the next handful of years. Pear, kirsch, white flowers and mint are beautifully layered. This is an especially fine edition of the Val Vilaine, a Champagne that will give readers a very good look at Bouchard's distinctive style at a price that won't totally break the bank. No dosage.
