Fonterutoli, owned by the Mazzei family since 1435, is located only 5km south of Castellina, in the heart of the Chianti Classico. `Siepi` is an equal blend of Sangiovese and Merlot and was first produced in the 1992 vintage. The wine spends 15-16 months in small French oak barrels, 70% new. Highly concentrated, with sweet dense tannins.
