The Sangiovese grapes used for Casamatta Rosso are selected from the youngest vineyards, spanning from the northern part of Florence to the southern region near Siena. Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks to preserve the wine`s style, and it lasts for a week without any post-fermentation maceration. After fermentation, the wines from various vineyards are blended and aged for six months in stainless-steel tanks before being bottled. Casamatta Rosso is characterized by its abundant red fruit flavours, including cherry and raspberry, and is complemented by a pronounced acidity that makes it an ideal gastronomic wine.
