Founded in 2015 by husband-and-wife team Desiree and Ash Whitaker, Cardrona is a New Zealander artisan distillery making fine spirits from scratch. This release of the Single Malt Whisky ‘Growing Wings’ is matured in an Old Forester ex-bourbon cask for 5 years and bottled at cask strength of 66.5% ABV. On the nose, there are notes of caramelized apples and fresh cut hay. The palate is distinctively fruity, featuring apricots and pears.
