Having worked at the likes of DRC and Domaine Dujac, California native, Josh Jensen, returned to his home state and, in 1975, founded Calera with the sole intention of producing the highest quality terroir-driven wines possible. Seen as an innovator and pioneer, he is one of the most respected Californian vintners. The 2016 Central Coast Chardonnay is sourced from 6 cool, windswept vineyards and has delicious aromas of apricot, green apple, sweet hay and wild fennel. With 16 months barrel aging it has a rich and rounded mouthfeel but is always underpinned by refreshing acidity and cooling minerality.
