The ‘Brunello di Montalcino Poggio Alle Mura’ is produced by Castello Banfi, a prestigious winery in the Montalcino region of Tuscany. This wine is made from 100% Sangiovese grapes, locally known as ‘Brunello’, which are grown in the Poggio Alle Mura vineyard. In the glass, the 2017 vintage shows a deep ruby colour with garnet reflections. On the nose, it displays an intense and complex profile of ripe red and black fruits such as cherries, blackberries, and plums, accompanied by notes of dried herbs, leather, tobacco, and hints of earthiness. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and structured, with well-integrated tannins and a vibrant acidity.
