Hailing from Paarl, South Africa, this is the Brookdale Estate`s expression of old vine Chenin Blanc produced using minimal winemaking to allow the stony terroir to show through. Matured for 11 months in 500L French oak barrels, the wine was then aged on the lees for 8 months in 2000L foudre barrels. White citrus and pear underpinned by subtle oak spice on the nose which carries through to the palate. Mineral, with soft buoyant acids and a mouth-coating citrus purity concluding on a beautifully fresh finish.
