Broadbent Selections was established in 1996 by world-renowned Madeira expert, Michael Broadbent and his son, Bartholomew. This is a Colheita Madeira produced from the Tinta Negra variety from the 1996 vintage, aged in oak casks for five years and then bottled. With 121.4 g/L of residual sugar it is relatively rich and viscous, exhibiting complex notes of dried fruits, citrus marmalade, coffee grounds and spices. It is superbly well balanced on the palate with zesty acidity providing ample freshness, making this the ideal wine to pair alongside chocolate desserts or even a cheeseboard.
