In the world of white Burgundy there is perhaps no greater name than Domaine Coche-Dury. Now with Raphael Coche-Dury fully at the helm, yields are astonishingly small and winemaking is meticulous, resulting in wines of exceptional complexity, balance and longevity. From the frost-bitten 2016 vintage this Bourgogne Chardonnay contains a good portion of fruit from the Mâconnais and is therefore a little fleshier than other iterations of this wine from similarly cooler vintages. It offers up attractive notes of orchard fruits, wild herbs and grilled nuts, with a wonderful cooling, stony mineral streak.
