Pierre Ponnelle was one of the great figures of 19th-century Burgundy. Born in 1847, he founded his own négociant business in 1875 at the age of 28. Today, nearly 150 years after its foundation, the Pierre Ponnelle brand remains as relevant as ever. This a rare bottle of Bonnes-Mares from the 1977 vintage, which was marked by one of the earliest harvests in history.
