Boekenhoutskloof The Chocolate Block 2022 is a full-bodied blended red wine from the Swartland region of South Africa. Boekenhoutskloof was established in 1776 in the beautiful Franschhoek valley. In 1993 the farm and homestead was bought and restored by Mark Kent who has developed the property into one of the most critically acclaimed wine brands of the Western Cape. The Chocolate Block is the best-selling wine of the estate. "The Chocolate Block 2022 is a clever assemblage of mostly Syrah from the Goldmine and Porseleinberg vineyards with 9% Grenache, 8% Cinsault, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Viognier. Fleshy, perfumed and smooth, it has sweet goji berry and summer pudding fruit, velvety tannins, scented cinnamon oak and a fresh, lifted finish." Tim Atkin MW, 2023
