Berta Elisi

Distillerie Berta is a leading family-owned grappa producer based in Piedmont, northern Italy. For Elisi, it is a two-stage process beginning with the component grape pomaces being distilled in copper pots and aged separately, before assemblage and a further year of maturation. The end result is a blend of 50% 5-year-old Barbera grappa with 25% each of 8-year-old Nebbiolo grappa and 3-year-old Cabernet grappa. It is complex, intense and warming with notes of orchard fruits, cherry, bitter chocolate, spices and toasted nuts.
