Barrell Bourbon Tale of Two Islands

In 2018, Barrell introduced its Tale of Two Islands Rum, a unique creation involving the aging of Jamaican rum in peated Islay Scotch whisky casks. Subsequently, these casks were utilized to finish a blend of 5-, 6-, and 9-year-old Indiana and 5- and 6-year-old Maryland Bourbons. The nose evokes aromas of molasses, brine, cherries, bananas, lemon curd, and orange peel. On the palate, expect flavours of apricots, molasses, cherry cola, lemon zest, cocoa, oak tannins, and black pepper.
