This 1986 vintage Armagnac, made primarily from Ugni Blanc and Baco, has been aged for a number of years in oak barrels, allowing it to develop complex flavours and a deep, rich colour. As a result of the aging process, you can expect the spirit to display notes of dried fruits, such as prunes and figs, as well as spices, vanilla, and oak. The texture is velvety and smooth, with a warming, lengthy finish. It is best enjoyed neat or with a drop of water to open up the flavours and aromas. It can be served as a digestif, paired with chocolate or fruit-based desserts, or simply savoured on its own as a contemplative sipper.
