Coume del Mas was created by Philippe and Nathalie Gard in 2001 and principally produces characterful wines from the steep slopes around Banyuls-sur-Mer in the far southwestern corner of France. Galateo is a deliciously rich fortified wine produced from 100% hand-harvested Grenache Noir from schist soil vineyards in AOC Banyuls. Full-bodied, thick and opulent, offering up wonderful notes of spiced plums, blackberry coulis, liquorice, vanilla, dark chocolate and earth. A sensational pairing for chocolate desserts.
