The newly arrived 2020 Cuvée Classique from Bandol`s esteemed flagship estate now bears the name Lulu & Lucien in honor of its founders. Lulu Peyraud (née Tempier), who played a vital role in the estate, passed away at the remarkable age of 102 in 2020. This release serves as a fitting tribute to her and her husband, the devoted custodians of the estate since 1943. The 2020 vintage displays a touch more freshness compared to the riper 2019 counterpart, despite its 14.5% ABV. For those familiar with the wine, Tempier Cuvée Classique boasts incredible aging potential, although it remains delightful even when enjoyed in its youth.
