AA Badenhorst The Golden Slopes Chenin 2022 is a full-bodied, single-vineyard white wine from the Swartland region of South Africa. This single-site Chenin uses fruit sourced from old bushvines growing in deep decomposed granite soils nextdoor to Adi Badenhorst`s winery in Kalmonsfontein. The vineyard was planted in 1968. "The Golden Slopes in question face east at 300 metres on clay and decomposed granite soils and retain water better than many vineyards in the Swartland. Concrete fermented and aged, this has fennel and chamomile aromas, lots of richness and concentration and flavours of stone fruit, yellow apple and citrus peel. Intense stuff." Tim Atkin MW, 2023
