A blend of 75% Tempranillo and 25% Merlot, La Casona matured for 14 months in French oak barrels before bottling. The nose is very expressive, with notes of blackcurrants, blackberries, cinnamon, cardamom seeds, tobacco, cedarwood and juniper. The palate is fruit-driven, with hints of liquorice, vanilla, blackcurrants and sweet spices.
