Adega Regional de Colares Arenae Ramisco Tinto 2015 is a full-bodied red wine produced from Ramisco grapes in the Colares region of Portugal. Named for the sands (`arenae`) on which the ungrafted, pre-phylloxera Ramisco vines grow, this singular Portuguese red was fermented with 30% whole bunches and matured for three years in 100-year-old Brazilian foudres, then spending an additional year in used barriques before bottling. Expect spiced red and black fruits with pronounced minerality and a strongly maritime character.
